Materials: Made entirely from 304 stainless steel, using 1/8” thick material for the cooktop and 1/16” thick material for the body, Winnerwell stoves are unique in the world of portable wood burning stoves. Good quality stainless steel lends several distinct advantages: It does not rust or corrode—a huge advantage in harsh outdoor environments; It can functionally withstand higher temperatures than mild steel, allowing thinner material to be used on the stove body which significantly reduces weight, ultimately making the stove more portable; And lastly, after the first burn, the stainless steel starts to take on a very nice patina color.
Accessory Recommendations: For added cooking utility, we recommend the S-sized Water Tank. The water tank is excellent for melting snow and ice for drinking water, and when the stove is burning efficiently the tank will boil water in minutes thanks to its location at the back of the cooktop and the base of the flue pipe where heat is concentrated.

I have a few stoves and was looking for a smallish one. The Winnerwell Nomad Small appears to fit that for it’s size and portability.
Having used it already using different types of fuel and cooking methods it is SIMPLY brilliant. Quality overall is Very Good up to about 95% and using 304 Stainless Steel will out last me.
I will tweak things up here and there just to make it 100%.
Will it burn anything, the answer is yes I have tried a number of different fuels and they all burn with various Pro&Cons.
* Wood … For cooking slightly bigger then kindling size to build up the heat quickly. For long lasting heat just a touch smaller then the door, but not hot enough for effective cooking.
* Coal … Perfect for many hours of fuss free heat ie No “Topping Up”, once you have a good bed of wood glowing then introduce the coal. I’ve tried 2 types, approx 4-5hr of nice heat.
* Wood Pellets … Between Wood & Coal for background heat, not ideal for cooking. Top up occasionally, approx 3 handfuls 1hr-ish burn.
*Anything to Hand … Twigs, Branches, Recycled Paper bricks etc.
Wood normal ash & soot.
Coal lots of soot certainly at the top of the spark arrester, however the middle 3rd little soot, the lower 3rd & the stove 0 soot, but all easily cleaned.
For me overall well worth the money.
Cracking little stove and first class service from the team at Thatchreed.
